How long does setup take?
Instant delivery. As soon as payment clears, we auto‑deploy your server and send your panel login + IP typically in under a minute. (On rare occasions, anti‑fraud checks from your payment provider can delay this.)
Can I change player slots?
Yes. Adjust slots anytime from the control panel. Player slots don’t directly limit performance choose a plan based on CPU/RAM needs. Extremely high slot counts on small plans may affect gameplay.
Can I transfer my existing server to PlayNHost?
Absolutely. We migrate most servers free no “first X days” limit. Provide SFTP access or a downloadable backup and we’ll copy files, boot‑test, and verify. Very large servers or complex setups may incur a small one‑time fee (quoted upfront).
Do I need to port forward?
No. We provide a public IP (and port where required). Share the ip:port with friends and join. (For Bedrock, default port is 19132/UDP unless you change it.)
Can I upgrade or downgrade my server after ordering?
Upgrades take effect instantly with pro‑rated billing. Downgrades apply at your next renewal to protect data. If you need it sooner, open a ticket and we’ll help safely downsize.
Why can’t I connect to my server?

Try this quick checklist:

  1. Make sure the server is online in the panel.
  2. Use the exact IP:port shown in Overview.
  3. Match your game version/modpack/loader.
  4. Check allowlist/whitelist and that you’re added.
  5. Open the console for errors on startup.
  6. Check our status page for maintenance.
  7. Bedrock: ensure the correct UDP port and, if using Geyser, that it’s configured. Still stuck? Open a ticket with the last 50–100 lines of console output.
I can’t login! What do I do?
Use Forgot Password on the login page, then check spam for the reset email. Confirm you’re using the right account email. If you’ve lost 2FA, use recovery codes or contact support to verify ownership.
Are the servers DDoS protected?
Yes always on L3/L4 mitigation at every location with game‑aware filtering. It’s included at no extra cost.

How do upgrades and downgrades work?
Upgrades apply immediately and you pay a pro-rated difference. Downgrades usually apply at your next renewal to protect data, but we can help sooner on request.
Can I switch server location?
Yes. You can request a relocation between available regions. Your IP and port will change after the move.
Do you offer dedicated IPs?
Available as an add-on for games that benefit from it. Most games work perfectly with a shared IP and unique port.
Is there a free trial?
We do not offer a trial, but we provide a 72-hour money-back guarantee on new orders.

Where do I find my IP and port?
In the panel Overview page for your server. Copy the IP and include the port when the game requires it.

Yes. Use Schedules in the panel to set automated restarts, commands, and backups.
Do you support one-click installs and mod managers?
Yes. Install popular modpacks and frameworks in one click, or upload your own custom pack.
Can I create additional users?
Yes. You can add subusers with granular permissions from your server settings.

What hardware do you use?
High-performance AMD or Intel CPUs, fast NVMe SSDs, and modern DDR4 or DDR5 memory. We monitor nodes and do not oversell CPU.
Will my server lag?
Most servers run smoothly out of the box. If you see low TPS or high ping, we can help optimize plugins or mods and recommend the right plan.
Is storage unlimited?
Storage is unmetered with fair use. Excessive backup archives or cache files may be limited by policy.
Do you isolate noisy neighbors?
Yes. We track resource spikes and isolate problematic workloads to protect your performance.

Where are your servers located?

Do you have DDoS protection?

What ping should I expect?
Typically under 20–40 ms for players in the same region. Use our latency test page for the most accurate result.

How is my data protected?
Each server runs in an isolated container. Staff access is limited and audited. Network security and DDoS protection are always enabled.
Do you keep automatic backups?
You can schedule backups in the panel. We keep disaster recovery snapshots for a short retention window, but your scheduled backups take priority.
Can I back up to remote storage?
Yes. Use the backup scheduler and connect your preferred remote storage if you need off-site copies.

Can I run mods or plugins?

How do I change versions?
Stop the server, choose a version or loader in the panel, and start it again. Always make a backup before changing versions.
Do you support Java and Bedrock cross-play?
Yes, with Geyser and Floodgate. Follow our setup guide for the best results.

Why can’t I connect to my server?
Confirm the server is online, use the exact IP and port, match your game version or modpack, check the allowlist, and review the console for errors.
My TPS is low or ping is high. What can I do?
Update plugins or mods, remove heavy tasks, pre-generate worlds, adjust view distance, and consider a plan with more CPU headroom.
I lost files. Can you restore them?
If backups exist within retention we can restore them. Otherwise recovery is not guaranteed, so enable scheduled backups.

What is your Fair Use policy?
