What happens if my invoice is overdue and what about my data? Print

This article explains what happens when an invoice is overdue, how service suspension works, and how long your data is kept after a service is cancelled or terminated.

1. When an invoice becomes overdue

  • Each service has a due date shown on the invoice and in the Client Area.
  • If payment is not received by the due date, the invoice will be marked as Overdue and reminder emails may be sent to you.

2. Service suspension

  • If an invoice remains unpaid for a period of time, the related service may be suspended.
  • During suspension:
    • Your server is normally shut down and no longer accessible to players.
    • Files are usually kept on disk for a limited time so the service can be restored if payment is made.
  • Example policy :
“We typically suspend services 2 day after the due date if payment has not been received.”

3. Service termination and data deletion

  • If an invoice remains unpaid for longer, the service may be terminated. Termination means:
    • The service is cancelled.
    • Server files and backups may be permanently deleted.
  • Example policy (edit to match your own):
“After a service has been suspended for 30 days without payment, we may terminate it and delete its data.”
  • Once data is deleted, it cannot normally be recovered.

4. How to restore a suspended service

  1. Log in to the Client Area at https://playnhost.com/billing.
  2. Go to Billing → My Invoices and find the Overdue invoice.
  3. Open the invoice and click Pay Now using your chosen payment method.
  4. Once payment is received and confirmed, your service should normally be unsuspended automatically or within a short time.

If your service does not come back online after paying, open a support ticket and include the invoice number and service name.

5. Back up your data regularly

  • Regardless of billing status, we strongly recommend keeping regular backups of your important data (worlds, configs, etc.).
  • Use the Backups and File Manager/SFTP options in the Game Panel to create and download backups.

If you are worried about a specific service being close to suspension or termination, please open a ticket from the Support → Submit a Ticket section as soon as possible so we can review the situation with you.
