This article explains how to cancel a PlayNHost service correctly so that it does not renew again.


Step 1 – Log in to the Client Area

  1. Go to https://playnhost.com/billing.
  2. Enter your Email Address and Password, then click Login.

Step 2 – Open the service you want to cancel

  1. In the Client Area, go to your list of services (for example, ServicesMy Services).
  2. Find the server or product you want to cancel.
  3. Click the service name or the Manage / View Details button to open the Product Details page.

Step 3 – Request cancellation

  1. On the Product Details page, look for an option such as Request Cancellation (often shown in the sidebar or in an Actions list).
  2. Click Request Cancellation.
  3. You will see a short form asking for:
    • A reason for cancellation (optional but helpful for us).
    • Whether you want the cancellation to be Immediate or at the End of Billing Period.
  4. Select:
    • Immediate – the service is queued to be terminated as soon as possible and will stop working after cancellation is processed.
    • End of Billing Period – the service will stay active until the current paid period ends, then it will be cancelled and will not renew.
  5. Click Request Cancellation to submit.

Step 4 – What happens after cancellation

  • The service will not generate new renewal invoices after the cancellation request is processed.
  • If you chose Immediate, the server may be shut down and removed shortly after cancellation.
  • If you chose End of Billing Period, the service will continue to work until the end of the current paid term.
  • Once a cancelled service and its billing period have fully expired, its data (worlds, configs, files) may be removed from our systems.

Important: Cancelling a service stops future renewals. It does not automatically refund past payments. Refunds are handled according to our refund policy (see the dedicated Refunds article or contact Support if you are unsure).


Before you cancel – make backups

  • If you may want your server data later, download backups of your world, configuration and important files before requesting cancellation.
  • Once the service is terminated and data removed, we may not be able to recover it.

Troubleshooting

  • I cannot find the Request Cancellation button
    Some services may not allow self-serve cancellation from the Client Area. In this case, please open a ticket with the service name and we will cancel it for you.
  • I requested cancellation by mistake
    Open a ticket as soon as possible with the service name and ask us to reverse the cancellation request. If the service has already been terminated, recovery may not be possible.

If you are unsure which option to choose or want to confirm dates and charges before cancelling, please open a ticket from the Support → Submit a Ticket section and include the service name.
